Grand Design
This full-sized figure is made of recycled, copper flashing. The rock that he sits on is made of recycled OSB board and foam covered with paper mache. The rock is supported by a plexiglass cube to give the illusion that the figure is suspended in air. The cube sits on a free-form piece of plexiglass which looks like water spilled on the for floor. His right hand holds a plumbob that moves as the earth turns creating a design in the sand at the base. The concept behind this piece is that recycling is part of the, Grand Design, but we have ignored it.
